Darbi Dombrowski could sing before she could talk! Her parents never understood a word she said EXCEPT when she sang the entire soundtrack of the Wizard of Oz at the age of 3.
Darbi began competing and performing at 7 years old and has won many talent awards including first place honors at Access Broadway. Darbi has taken her aspirations to New York City and has attended Broadway camps and has worked with New York top vocal coaches! She has been in several theater productions including playing the lead role in Dear Edwina and the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz. She also performed with the Children's Chorus for the Detroit Opera.
Darbi was crowned Miss Michigan in the Sweetheart division and placed in the top 10 at nationals.
At 8 years old, Darbi formed her own charity called Darbi's Department where she donates to several causes. This has been her platform while holding titles in Miss America's Outstanding Teen program.
She is also an accomplished equestrian and uses her love for animals to hold drives for local animal shelters.
Darbi is a huge baseball fan and has sung the National Anthem and God Bless America at Detroit Tigers games. When she's not singing or playing the piano, Darbi loves to travel and hang out with her friends.
Classically trained in Opera, Ursula Grace Fuller’s greatest thrill was to be included in Michigan Opera Theater’s 2010 performance of Tosca in the principal role “Shepherd Boy” and to perform on the same stage as the amazing Italian diva Tiziana Caruso.
Also active in theater, Ursula has appeared in the roles “Elle” in Legally Blonde and “Annie” in Annie at Cranbrook/Kingswood Upper School where she was a Slotkin Music Scholar for four years. In adult community theater, she especially enjoyed her roles of “Amber” in Hairspray and “Little Girl” in Ragtime.
Ursula loves all genres of music and has won First Places in Classical, Pop, and Broadway divisions at American Guild of Music competitions, was a state finalist for three years running at regional Michigan Solo and Ensemble, a talent winner in 2011 and 2012 for Miss Michigan Outstanding Teen, and received several awards in classical vocal competitions in 2014.
You may have heard Ursula’s voice as part of the Oscar Meyer tag line in the popular 2011/2012 series of Lunchables TV commercials.
Ursula is now attending the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
Francesca "Frankie" Bellisario at 16 years old is the youngest member of “By The Way.” She is a sophomore at Mercy High School. Her parents knew she had a special musical gift when she was three and her mom thought she was listening to the soundtrack of Annie, only to find out it was her daughter singing in her room. She has had 10 years of vocal training. For the past few years she has been a student of the Rochester Conservatory of Music where she has performed in their seasonal performances.
Frankie also enjoys musical theater. She made her theatrical debut as a freshman with a lead role in her high school’s rendition of “Godspell”. She loves to write her own music, play her electric or acoustic guitar, or even strum her ukulele.
Even though she has been classically trained, Frankie likes to show the 'rocker' side of her as well. She has been a student at Rochester's School of Rock where her voice has put a modern twist on the classics during many of their rock shows.
Frankie loves being a part of “By The Way”! The group has allowed her to grow as a singer/songwriter through the many live performances and recording sessions the group has performed. She has found a love of music production and hopes to continue exploring the field of music in the future.
